2019 Venue Details

Our meeting will be held at The Meridian at Lighthouse Point Resort on Roatán, Honduras (http://www.theRoatánmeridian.com/).

The Meridian has a variety of specialty accommodations available to us for a greatly discounted rate. See the description of suites below, noting that the total cost of each suite per night is listed (not the per person, per night cost). The maximum number of guests listed equates to the number of beds, however, see the details as some beds may be a sofa-pullout bed in the living space. Attendees are responsible for self-organizing into suite groups. We recommend that everyone in your group is either staying for the Workshop, or not. If you are new to the meetings and need assistance finding other attendees to room with, email us and we will help make those connections.

Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and meeting room charges are managed with the resort suite booking. Those attending the field trip to Útila and participating in the Species Recovery Planning Workshop should plan to stay together, departing on 9 November, as the full cost of the suite per night will need to be covered regardless of the number of guests in the suite each night. The food/meeting room costs for participants staying until November 9th is an additional $174 total per person. Those staying for the Workshop and traveling to Útila for the overnight field trip will not be charged by the Meridian for the night while on Útila so the total number of nights is six. Guests will be able to leave items in their Meridian rooms while on Útila.

Those not interested in participating in the SRP Workshop should plan to depart the Meridian Resort on 6 November. The food/meeting costs for these participants is an additional $114 total per person.

Once you have organized your suite group, one group member should email Megan Moulder at The Meridian, cc’ing Tandora Grant to confirm your reservation, USING THE MERIDIAN RESERVATION FORM. Your group will be responsible for paying for the total number of nights, as well as the meal charges based on the number of people in the group and the duration of stay. As you can see below many of the suite type options are limited so we recommend making your reservations quickly. A deposit of 50% of the total cost (room and board) is due no later than 1 September 2019. The remainder is due upon arrival but can also be paid in advance. Chase QuickPay, Zelle, and credit cards (additional 4% charge) are accepted. Megan will provide additional details upon email reservation.
